Why I wrote the Growing Juntos™ Books

"As a mother and someone who has spent years working with families in early intervention, I’ve seen how language can unlock connection—and I’ve also seen how challenging it can be for some children to get started. Growing Juntos is for every family, especially those with little ones who are working through imitation, exploring new sounds, or building words slowly, day by day.

The Language Explorers series was created to support families through these moments of discovery. Whether it’s practicing sounds with Sound Adventures, learning routines in A Day at School, or exploring culture in Flavors of the World, each story offers familiar activities that promote language development through shared moments.

At its core, Growing Juntos means growing together. It’s for bilingual homes, monolingual homes introducing some Spanish, and any family wanting to build connections through language. My hope is that these books become a cherished part of your child’s routine—a space where language comes alive through everyday activities, creating moments that help children learn, connect, and grow."
